The seed is an integer used as a start value for the random number generator, and can be any number between 1 and 2147483646. If you run two simulations on the same model, and with the same seed, the results will be exactly the same.
The 窶彜eed窶 field shows the seed used in the simulation.
This information is useful if you for some reason want to repeat the same simulation later. Sometimes if you have made some changes to a few local factors in the model, you may want to run a simulation where you keep all other conditions as close as possible to the previous simulation. This can be accomplished by using the same seed number as in the previous case.
Note, however, that even small changes in the model structure may disturb the picture completely, and make it impossible to recreate the same conditions.
A better way to deal with these issues, is to increase the number of simulation runs. This reduces the random fluctuations in the results.
